She has over fifteen years of experience working with children and families and has been a licensed counselor since 2014. Kassandra began her career working with children in foster care, and families and individuals involved in the juvenile, family probate, and criminal court systems. She went on to work as a clinical director of a non-profit agency, providing services to individuals facing the challenges of substance use disorders, homelessness, domestic violence, mental illness, and intellectual disabilities.

Kassandra is the founder of Elevation Therapy; a Mass counseling clinic where she has cultivated her passion for working with teens, young adults, and adults to help them overcome feelings of depression, anxiety, and past trauma, increase self-esteem, and learn ways to become more intimate and connected with themselves and others. As a family counselor, she also provides support to families in increasing communication and family functioning, with the goal of having healthier and more positive family relationships. Her approach is trauma-informed and she uses a variety of modalities including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral techniques, meditation, increasing inner self-worth, and empowerment skill-building.

Kassandra’s personal and professional growth has been greatly influenced by Brene Brown, the renowned clinical researcher of shame and vulnerability. She believes in creating a culture where people feel safe, seen, heard, and respected. Further, Kassandra believes that overcoming past trauma and creating safety where one can be vulnerable is the foundation of cultivating a healthy emotional relationship with oneself and others.
